designer's own words:

We are facing some serious issues such as global warming, energy shortage, water shortage, and carbon economy. Can we learn something from plants to deal with these issues? Plants use sun light, water, and CO2 to generate all the energy they need.

Energy Forest is where natural plants and man-made Power Plants co-exist to provide green space for the citizens and supplement the cities energy supplies. Power Plants convert wind and solar energy into electricity and collect rain water to support plants in the Energy Forest.

Energy Forest consists of natural plants, Power Plants, and electric vehicle charging kiosks. Electricity generated from the Power Plants is used to power public facilities such as street lights and collected rain water is stored underground to be used to water the plants in the park during dry seasons.

A Power Plant consists of a wind turbine, solar panels with water collecting mechanism and a bench.
Its functions and form is inspired from plants. Repeated use of circular shapes represents circulation of energy in the nature. Wind energy, solar energy, and rain water are collected and stored underground.

Energy forest shows us how nature and humans can not only coexist but also help each other. Green design can have more substantially positive impact on our daily lives when it is applied to a wider context rather than to individual products.
