designer's own words:
Pedalight is a bicyle stand infrastructure that is lighted up by energy generated by cyclists' pedalling. Energy is stored in cyclists' bikes as they cycle round the city. When they dock at the bicycle stand, the energy is transferred to the bicycle stand to power up lights for the bicycle stand. Cyclists now can play a part in lighting up the city.
