designboom and DuPont's international design competition theme: DuPont Corian® for a food & coffee bar results ! -------------------------- top 30 nominations # 1724 title: bar concept for small rooms name : stefanie hofer sex : female age : 27 city : muenchen state : germany --- the main idea of my work is to use a modular based system to realize a compatible food & coffee bar concept for small rooms. all activities are orientated to the four walls. these walls consist out of several modules in corian, one meter in length, integrating niches in different heights. they offer comfortable stay and leave the space of the room open. the bar, also built out of corian, creates the only center and is the positive equivalent to the negative forms of the niches. free movable seat-cubes build a colorful contrast to the light ambience of the interior.    ---  back to the competition results index ---  ------- monthly designboom newsletter ------- ------- ? comments and contact us ? -------  |
