A’ design awards & competition 2014 – call for entries

the annual A’ design awards & competition highlights, advertises and advocates good design, inviting creatives, innovators and companies from diverse disciplines and experience levels, to submit their concepts for good products and services. its mission is to provide a fair, ethical and competitive platform in which to showcase the work of the participants, promoting the registered works to the greater public by garnering the attention of interactive medias, design critics, distributors and buyers, towards the winning projects — bringing together designers, companies and the press.

organized under approximately 100 main categories, including: architecture, building and structure design; furniture, decorative items and homeware design; digital and electronic devices design; graphics and visual communication design; lighting products and lighting projects design; and vechicle, mobility and transportation design, to name a few (you may see the full listing of categories here); the A’ design award & competition offers a highly competitive environment for which participants can demonstrate their skills and talents to a broader audience.

all of the entries will be judged by an international jury panel composed of approximately 50 scholars, professionals and media members who specialize in various creative fields, who will offer their expertise and experience, in selecting the winners of the A’ design award & competition.

as a result of the jurying process and the receipt of A’ design award recognition, winners will benefit from extensive promotion in the form of PR related activities (specially tailored press releases, communication distributed to selected magazines and blogs), that aim at delivering their ideas to key industry players to discuss their market potential, with the ultimate goal of making them a reality. winners will also be included in the world design rankings, and invited to a gala night where they will meet with other like-minded individuals and members of related business areas and manufacturing companies to further discuss their concepts. on this occasion, they will also see their awarded projects featured in an exhibition, and published in an accompanying yearbook. in addition, all winners will receive feedback from the jury, an trophy, along with competition statistics.

the 2014 call-for-entries is currently open, with the deadline for submissions being february 28th, 2014.
all those interested in participating may do so on the A’ design award & competition registration page.

designboom will announce the results of the A’ design award & competition on april 15th, 2014, and publish a selection of the winning projects at that time.
