the deadline for the 2014 A’ design award & competition call-for-entries is fast approaching, with september 30th marking the close of this year’s call-for-entries period. established to highlight the innovative work of designers, architects and companies alike, the A’ design award & competition recognizes their developments through a fair, ethical and competitive platform open to those from various creative fields and diverse levels of experience to rival one another, while also offering participants an avenue in which to showcase their talents to a global audience.

with more than 100 categories — including architecture, building and structure design; interior space and exhibition design; furniture decorative items and homeware design; digital and electronic devices design; home appliances design; vehicle, mobility and transportation design — for which your work can be evaluated under different criteria, the A’ design awards & competition brings forth a unique opportunity in which to have your work reviewed by an expert panel of 50 jury members of mixed disciplines (i.e. scholars, members of the media, design professionals).

winners of the A’ design awards & competition will benefit first and foremost from intense coverage of their projects through the organization’s database of thousands of press contacts, presenting their recognized designs to the right companies and manufacturers for the possibility of further development. additionally, to an extensive PR campaign, winners will receive a score sheet outlining how their design was graded, siting the jury’s comments, as well as a benchmark grade in which they can understand the potential of their work. they will also be included in the world design rankings, while receiving additional tools such as a press kit platform, marketing and consultancy and translation of their written project material into 20+ languages for global distribution. and as always, they will be invited to a gala night in como, italy, were they will be given their trophies and certificates of excellence, with their winning designs presented in the annual A’ design award & competition winner’s exhibition at MOOD: museum of design. what is a noteworthy bonus of this year’s edition, is that the selected designs will be showcased in two other exhibitions for further international exposure — hometex international home textile & interior design trade fair in amsterdam, the netherlands, and in a dublin to celebrate the irish city’s title as the 2015 world design capital .
