the A' design award and competitions aims to provide a platform for designers, innovators and companies from different creative disciplines
to compete on an international level and present their work to a larger global audience, including manufacturers, buyers and the press.

in addition to packaging, lighting and furniture, sports equipment, pet products, banking and finance instruments, urban planning…
the competition is organized under the major categories of architecture, furniture, interior or product design,
with a total of 80 divisions in which to submit. see full list of categories here.

winners of the award will receive extensive publicity. they will take advantage of having their selected project exhibited,
published in the A' design awards and competition year book, included in the world design rankings and will receive gala night invitations
for two guests to attend the award ceremony where they will be able to network with industry professionals. the inherent benefit of winning
is that the recognition is considered as a quality and high-return alternative to any advertising you might otherwise have to pay for to promote yourself.

the organization offers designers a unique system in which to sell their winning ideas to sponsor companies, who can bid for the competing ideas
and make offers to buy the designs. an online database / exhibition creates free profile pages for participating designers, innovators and companies,
so that whether or not you win, you still have full access to the system which is also available to the tens of thousands of contacts which the association has.

the deadline for submissions is friday, february 28th, and winners will receive early communication on march 7, 2013.
all results will be officially announced to the public on april 15, 2013 at the commencement of the exhibition.
