airplane cutlery by eugeni quitllet for air france

eugeni quitllet has created new tableware for air france. the collection of flexible and eco-designed fully plastic PS and PP, have been conceived with the ‘aerodynamics’ of the air crafts in which they will be used on in mind. the formal aspects of the cutlery have been fashioned to look like a plane, and come as an assembly kit which can be easily pieced together for use. suited for adults and children, the injection moulded parts are made with a percentage of recycled material to increase the size and grip of the fork, knife and spoon–a lighter technical solution that saves 30% of raw material equivalent to 40 tonnes per year. this hyper industrial production ensures optimal performance at all stages of use through the 14 million meal trays served on air france flights per year.
