‘pieletrico’ is a hybrid lamp concept collaboratively developed by designers alvaro catalan de ocon (spain) and francesco faccin (italy) that serves two functions. one is to provide a source of light while the second is to be a electrical source for small appliances. the lamp’s base has 3 electrical outlets and a switch. its 4 horizontal legs meet in the centre whereby another outlet allows the light to be connected. a neon version presented at the salone satellite 2010, is the starting point to develop a whole new series of lamps containing the main characteristics of the ‘pieletrico’.
