‘silly chair’ by italian designer antonio aricò is a completely wooden chair, one of a series of seating works that the designer created in collaboration with his grandfather, former carpenter saverio zaminga. the piece is on exhibition for milan design week at ventura lambrate, as part of aricò’s show ‘back home’. interspersed among the chairs, aricò will showcase home objects including a lamp, lantern, vase, desk, kettle, and table. ‘with ‘back home’‘, he reflects, ‘I wanted to bring us back to our memories and childhood. the shapes and volumes of the collection hide fun, warm personalities and characters, all surrounded by a familiar and a cozy feeling.
