during milan design week, fashion designer antonio marras joins forces with segno italiano‬ for the exhibition ‘il sentiero dei nidi di ragno’ (the nest of spiders), infilling the nonostantemarras showroom with an array of intricately handcrafted objects and installations. amidst the furniture and accessories — each adopting traditional artistic italian craft in their design — the naturalistic exhibition comprises and an enclosed chamber infilled with birds nests, each intertwined with hanging strands of colored, twisted fabric. birds fly throughout the separated site, using the fashion-fused, intricately built nests as their personal habitats.

marras additionally adds a couture twist to craft — segno italiano‬ has cooperated with the best artisans in the south of sardinia to present a collection of baskets made from river cane, myrtle and olive with willow handles. each have been reinterpreted by ‪marras, who incorporates his own fabric pieces into their composition, a transformation which sees the woven objects become functional handbags.
