the 'audiowood barky turntable' by joel scilley merges two disparate materials in one coherent design for a classier vinyl experience.
the slice of solid ash features a weighty glass platter, adjustable stainless steel spike legs and a polyurethane and paste wax finish.
the design is handmade in the US and is outfitted with a premotech motor and a rega tonearm. see another audiowood turntable

This is a good design but I can’t help thinking it is a slight rip off of the rega planar players, all they have done is changed the original base to wood. This unfortunately means they have changed the rubber feet which reduce vibration, using steel feet will allow the vibrations from the surrounding area to disturb the vinyl much easier. Aesthetically it is very nice but for practicality reasons I’ll stick with my original rega

hmm, so they’ve taken a Rega apart, rebuilt it with a slice of wood, and likely compromised the sound quality in doing so. not sure about this one
