for a self initiated assignment sarah surrette re-branded ‘bikes across borders’, a non-profit organization located in texas.
the group rides south of the border each year to deliver bikes to the people of mexico. bikes across borders seeks to promote diversity as a means in making connections instead of using it as a roadblock in establishing relationships.
‘this organization aims to bring the two sides of the border together, so i developed a style that spoke to both countries. the illustrations reference mexican tiles while evoking a texas feeling with the color palette. main components of the project include logo, stationery set, posters, website, and design process manual.’ – SS
