the ‘altbau’ by austrian studio bonpart is a modern kitchen element designed specifically for the narrowness of traditional viennese flats. typically located in a hallway or walk-through, space in the cuisine is anything but plentiful. ‘altbau’ offers additional countertop, open and closed storage areas, as well as a fold-able table for two or three. the unit is made primarily with stainless steel, laminated plywood and HPL paneling, and an alder wood counter. 

when preparing meals, the table can be folded down, enabling access to the counter
