caravana americana returns after a successful first edition this october 14-16. the fair will present 70 of latin america’s best contemporary designers at expo reforma in mexico city. both established and emerging brands from the worlds of fashion and industrial design will showcase their latest works to the creative industry professionals and the media (friday 14 october), and to the public (saturday 15 and sunday 16 of october.)

this edition of caravana americana features exhibitors including alessandra petersen, escudo, andrea landa, hector esrawe, carla fernández, paul roco, bi yuu, ad hoc, cihuah, yakampot, caralarga, shelf, txt.ure, colectivo 1050, hecho y derecho, diego vides among others. a round table discussion featuring hector esrawe (industrial designer), david solis (architectural digest mexico), alessandra petersen (fashion designer) and karla martínez de salas (vogue) will take place on the evening of friday 15th with free entry.

founded earlier this year by lago—a mexican boutique owned by designers regina barrios and alessandro cerutti—this year’s caravana americana will see food and drink from the celebrated chef mónica patió. with a clear mission of promoting contemporary latin american design internationally, the fair aims to spread design and business knowledge among the latin american design community by way of trade fairs, workshops, and conferences.

caravana americana is a mexican fair that promotes contemporary latin american design internationally while offering a platform for local brands to exchange experiences and knowledge. the fair takes place twice a year – once in march and once in october, as well as in june with a special resort edition – bringing together a curated selection of the best of latin america’s emerging fashion, object, jewelry and furniture brands.
