CEDIT – ceramiche d’italia delivers unique, high-end artistic ceramic coverings that are symbolic of experimentation and design. since the 1950s, the brand has focused on skilled craftsmanship, paired with the latest technological advancements. over these years, the sizes of their tiles have changed, from small 7.5 x 15 cm to wide 120 x 240 cm slabs of today. this variety of sizes ensure designers have total freedom over the spaces they are creating. additionally, the element of personalization has also been a key feature throughout their history, enabling different designs to be combined in order to form new decorative and chromatic solutions.

protagonist of the 2017 milan design week, the italian ceramic brand has created two new collections; ‘cromatica’ in collaboration with andrea trimarchi and simone farresin of studio formafantasma; and ‘frammenti’ with martino gamper. ‘cromatica’ explores the full potential of color in contemporary ceramics. designed for use in its full or smaller size, every slab can be combined to reveal a space of differing shades. in contrast, ‘frammenti’ investigates the architectural effects of ceramics in a variety of stylistic contexts. furthermore, it follows the italian born designer’s philosophy of reuse by salvaging and reassembling existing materials, to create a fresh, functional and aesthetic design.
