based on the idea of applying architectural materials to lighting pieces, austrian designer rainer mutsch presents the ‘clip’ outdoor light for manufacturer molto luce. the shades are constructed from natural fiber cement – a commonly used building product for cladding and roof coverings. originally developed by eternit, it is a highly durable, frost resistant and 100% recyclable material that consists of natural components like cellulose fibers and water. connected to a watertight, powder-coated die-cut aluminum holder, the wall mountable device can be used as an up and down-light, as well as a bollard light. featuring a warm white LED lamp, the design has an integrated converter that is certified for a whole year of outdoor usage.
