in a collaboration with matt vandivort of team six cycle-RK&O, new york-based coarse fabrication designed and developed a cyclocross frame wrapped with illustrations referencing keith haring’s trademark work. the frame is built using a combination of true temper and columbus tubes, selected with a more aggressive nature of single track riding in mind. sliding and replaceable dropouts from paragon machine works were used to have the option to run single speed, along with the other design features such as integrated chain tensioners, and wheelbase/tire clearance adjustments. to top it off, a 44mm head tube was used to allow for the tapered columbus mud disc fork. all cable guides are also internal, and were designed around the routing of the SRAM cx-1 group.

‘this particular project was so much fun and really embodied that collaborative spirit,’ said billy maynard from coarse. ‘from closely working with it’s owner going over design details, to painstakingly sorting the nuances of the paint scheme with horse cycles, I rarely felt alone on this one.’
