the ‘coat’ stool by german designer guido brinkmann is a purely constructive base with a ‘dressed’ vegetable-tanned leather wrap. the flexibility of the material is increased by moisture – processed in its wet state, with the final shape formed while drying.in a further process, the leather is hardened with wax. when exposed to heat, it penetrates into the material and hardens. ‘coat’ has been presented during milan design week 2013.
