designed by cristina celestino and produced by MOGG, ‘madama’ is a collection of lamps that aim to talk about the stiff petticoats, or underskirts, used in the nineteenth century. thanks to a wireframe structure, these clothing pieces were made puffy and voluminous, enhancing the fabrics and the silhouette of the woman wearing it. by following the same principle, the ‘madama’ pendant lamp collection is characterized by a steel volume and wooden spools that give shape to the coating.

to create the lampshade, different types of trimmings, fringes, strings and decorations were taken from vintage frames that were still in a good state. the created forms are a result of a contemporary design vision, together with memories that are aimed at enhancing the italian excellent traditions of making lamps with a precise aesthetic content.
