the ‘rohling collection’ by german designer dominik hehl is a group of functional common objects made out of raw materials done with very little conditioning to allow each object to visibly evolve over time. the ‘rohlingtisch’ table is manufactured from partially-processed industrial wood. the cut of the material has determined the overall aesthetic for the piece. the dimension of the top surface uses the same proportion for the legs which are cut and tapered together to form an A frame.

the ‘rohlingregal’ bookcase is also made from partially manufactured boards. the item has not undergone any extra cutting to create the overall structure. the 3 x 3 meter shelf keeps the original dimension of the planks as if it were taken from a sawmill.

the ‘rohlinglight’ is made from a single piece of aluminum which is spun into shape and then bent open. the remaining base is then CNC cut in 3D to define its characteristic typology. the light is also available finished in a white coat.
