the ‘olympia’ collection by doriana and massimiliano fuksas for nemo, consists of a series of wall lamps which feature long movable, adjustable arms. the optical design is characterised by black and white disks, that can be altered to fit various configurations. this specific element draws upon the silhouette of a ‘UFO’, which causes the individual lights to appear as if floating.

doriana and massimiliano fuksas’ ‘olympia lamp’ is equipped with a diffuser designed to emit 360° light. the functional product for nemo, is suited to modern day living through its adjustable settings and minimal, yet abstract appearance. the original sketches of the decorative piece, show the designer’s choice of juxtaposing elements which conceal and display light in a contrasting display.
