fietsklik is aiming to reduce the need for cars by empowering the bike with its modular bicycle accessory concept. currently on kickstarter, the amsterdam-based startup is raising funds for its detachable and flexible bike products which drastically increase the carrying capacity of the everyday bike. the flagship ‘crate’ is a collapsible basket-like cargo carrier which can be detached from the bike and wheeled into stores for shopping. the product line also includes bags and a child seat, all of which can be clicked on and off  the rear rack adapter. the startup is aiming to promote cycling by increasing the range of errands which people can confidently do by bike. the crate was originally conceived as a solution for carrying a full 24 bottle case of beer by bike. all of fietsklik’s products are made just outside of amsterdam.
