‘the knop table series’, or ‘knot’ in swedish is the first collaboration between swedish furniture brand nc inclusive design and karlsson + björk. focusing on the healthcare sector and restaurant interiors, the table needed to be of a high standard in terms of its durability and also able to be cleaned without too much hassle. the flat-pack structure features a pressure cast corner, which means it can easily be mounted together simply by screwing the legs and hand to the corner.

‘since it’s often the end consumer and not a craftsman who will put the table together we wanted to make it possible to mount without any tools and instructions.’ says mattias karlsson, designer and co owner of karlsson & björk.

the ‘knop table’ was recently exhibited at the carl malmsten furniture studies in stockholm.
