‘flora di fornasetti’ is a new scent of that makes its debut as part of the fornasetti profumi, in the form of a candle. the fragrance hints of white floral bouquets and is influenced in part by the lush flowers which fill the fornasetti house in milan, as well as the floral sketches that were created by piero fornasetti himself. the image which adorns the votive displays the haunting face of operatic muse lina cavalieri – a classic fornasetti depicition – in which she is guised as the mythical fertility goddess ‘flora’, one of the most symbolic designs from the italian company’s ‘tema e variazioni’ (theme and variations) collection. in addition to this new release, the existing ‘otto’ scented candle whose smell was created by master perfumer olivier polge and features a mix of mediteranean herbs and other ingredients of personal significance to piero’s son barnaba, is now housed within two new designs: ‘theme, variations & colours’ and ‘burlesque’.
