ford global design team showcases product range at salone del mobile

applying the same interior design philosophy as the ‘GT‘ supercar, the ford global design team has unveiled a collection of pieces at the world’s leading furniture expo, salone del mobile. sourcing influence from the ‘favilla‘ installation that is also on display throughout the 2015 milan design week, the selection includes a guitar, sail boat and table football. as well, the range also showcases the creators innovation and creativity with more traditional items of furniture, such as; a floating lamps, wifi speaker and two lounge area interpretations.

‘we have an incredible amount of talent in our global studios,’ said moray callum, vice president, design, ford motor company. ‘the public rarely sees more than 10 per cent of the work that happens in our studios. this is the perfect opportunity to share some of the creativity within our team while also offering our designers an opportunity to go beyond the everyday work and get exposure to new ideas that will inspire for future ford designs’

the collection is on display at the ford design lounge, in the fiera milano exhibition hall’s pavilion 13, throughout salone del mobile.
