swedish design group front (sofia lagerkvist, charlotte von der lancken and anna lindgren) have developed two new products for italian furniture company porro on show during milan design week 2012.

the ‘chameleon unit’ has a seemingly ‘magic volume’ that is constantly opening on itself like a game of chinese boxes, changing in appearance and revealing new finishes. intended for use as a cupboard for the bedroom, it consists of a central crate in pear wood, equipped with drawers and shelves. the hinges are covered in precious leather stripes that allow it to be turned and revolved like a suitcase or a bag. the piece transforms its color and look, from black to white, according to the way it is configured by a user.
