‘collage chair’ by front for gemla
swedish design group front (sofia lagerkvist, charlotte von der lancken and anna lindgren) have assembled ‘collage’, an amalgamation of classic forms which are combined using a contemporary aesthetic. the collection of chairs for diö-based manufacturer gemla, was designed using shapes found in the company’s archive. for the backing, the customizable seating integrates leather, fabric and webbing among other choices. the materials are wrapped and woven around the frame, resulting in a comfortable backrest.
