among the presented pieces, british designer max lamb exhibits his ‘metalware’ series. these new pieces are derived from his existing ‘woodware’ collection, a repertoire of furniture types assembled from dowel rods different wood types and diameters. in this series, wood dowels are replaced with metal tubes, forstner drill is replaced with a tube laser-cutter, and glue is replaced with tin solder paint.

also presented by gallery FUMI is an installation of berlin-based designer lukas wegwerth’s ever evolving vessels. crystal material both interrupts and fuses around found ceramics to create pieces that are — on one hand — organically grown and reminiscent of natural earthly elements — and on the other — luxurious and extravagant.

london-based designer sam orlando miller extends his sculptural mirrors into new dimensions with 2 new works: ‘cascata d’acqua’ deconstructs the classic mirror format by using slithers of reflective material in various shades of blue and green, resembling falling water. ‘rete corallina’ is the biggest mirror ever shown by gallery FUMI, made in coral patinated glass.

gallery FUMI presents ‘mise en place’ and ‘en route’, two new consoles which form part of the ‘les french’ collection by london-based design studio glithero. both pieces consist of bronze cast legs and table tops, finished in a black and dark blue patina. each piece that is made is completely unique — as the bamboo structure perishes, it is replaced with bronze during the lost material casting of the legs and table tops.
