neon has a soft and indefinite aura that creates a magical, ethereal atmosphere in almost every context. ‘mirage’, a series of eight lamps by giorgia zanellato for galleria luisa delle piane, was born from experimenting with the unique light source. ‘my research started from this fascination, and the challenge was to bring it into domestic environments to become a sort of piece of furniture.’ says zanellato. featuring a wide color range, the ‘mirage’ collection includes: floor, hanging, and table lamps, a wall-mounted light, and a mirror. the heterogeneous forms are based on a succession of solid and void spaces, through which the neon disappears and reemerges. ‘mirage’ pieces are made with white metal and multiple colors of light.
