the ‘cell’ by moroccan designer hachim houssaine belfkih is a furniture element that merges a partition, storage and display space, and lounge in one. drawing influence directly from the cellular structure of vegetables, the MDF and metal object is organized as to mimic the walls and voids of similar microscopic units. extending from the main form is a comfortable, relaxed seat. designed for long hours of reading —  napping — the faux-leather chaise is crowned with an integrated LED light. behind, is a series of shelves is composed of stained MDF and taut iron cables.
