highlights of munich creative business week (MCBW) 2013


highlights of the upcoming munich creative business week (MCBW)

 

 

held from the 16th of february through to the 24th of february, 2013 is the second munich creative business week (MCBW) –
featuring a high-profile cluster of design showcases that will open up the dialogue between creative talent and business.
presented as part of the event are a number of notable expositions including the ‘color one‘ installation by scholten and baijings 
in the BMW museum by mini which designboom covered earlier here, as well as ‘munich 3.0 – the future of the city‘ which
will highlight various aspects associated with the issues of sustainability, technology and design.

 

the rich conversation surrounding design continues with other exhibitions such as ‘korea design organised by KIDP‘ –
exploring distinctive korean style and talent as well as the MCBW lectures series, which includes a presentation by maria sebregondi,
founder of moleskine, offering insights from her company’s successful history and brand communication. aimed at providing the
foremost meeting opportunity for design aficionados from around the world, ‘mcbw moments – mindscapes for design 2013
will also take shape  – open to the public from 21st to the 24th of february at the old congresshall. to complement the week’s happenings,
various award nights will also take place throughout the week including that of the bavarian state prize for talented designers
and the inaugural iF design awards night which will host 2,000 international guests.

2013 marks the second annual munich creative business week, which will again host conferences, presentations, talks, workshops,
exhibits and road shows, focusing on various aspects of designs. the goals of the event are to network top companies with designers
of various disciplines and promote an open discussion about sustainable developments, trends and ideas for an both a
professional audience as well as interested members of the public.

MCBW is organized by bayern design GmbH and sponsored by the bavarian state ministry of economic affairs, infrastructure, transport
and technology as well as the city of munich. cooperation part of MCBW is iF international forum design GmbH, with BMW group as a partner.
