roll-up solid wood doors found throughout furniture of the 50s and 60s provide the conceptual basis upon which the hk series, by mo-ow studio, is designed.  instead of placing the rolling covers in a vertical orientation, typical of past works, the slats are installed horizontally.  by rotating the alignment, the wood takes on the properties of a curtain, masking the contents within, yet are easily drawn back to exhibit the items inside. each piece is shaped by expert craftsmen, who employ traditional wood working skills to create contemporary works true to history yet infused with modern traits.
