gothenburg, the second largest city in sweden by population and the fifth-largest in the nordic countries, accommodates a unique charity campaign –
‘homeless in gothenburg’. there are approximately 3400 homeless people living in the city and swedish interactive agency forsman and bodenfors
have generated a campaign to raise awareness. the concept is a website for a hotel called faktum, that you can browse and book one of
ten locations throughout the city, just like you would any hotel. the money collected through reserving these spaces will go towards supporting
the charity, a night can also be given as a gift to a friend or one can just donate money for the cause.

the faktum website states:

in gothenburg, there are about 3,400 homeless. most of them tend to find shelter with friends or in shelters, but some sleep under the open sky.
we have selected ten locations where they are likely to spend the night – and made it possible to book. as with any hotel.
whatever money is going to our work for socially vulnerable people‘.
