enabling flexible configurations the adaptable table/bench by amsterdam-based designer jair straschnow is part of the new proeflokaal – the tasting room of butcher’s tears. the small brewery is located in amsterdam and it specializes in well crafted unfiltered, unpasteurized beers. reflecting this philosophy the new interior space is simply divided with a large bar at the back and white tiled walls. the table/bench is made from rejected steel pipes and bamboo, a flexible piece of construction it provides numerous seating options: from one long table to a maximum seated capacity of 50 thirsty beer drinkers. industrial arm lamps extend outward from the surrounding walls – easily adjustable they are able to swivel around and follow the different configurations and create the right type of atmosphere.
