offering a light and smooth ride, the wooden ‘bough bikes by jan gunneweg provide a direct connection with nature, even while cycling on urban streets. sustainably manufactured in the netherlands, the top country of cyclists in the world – 84 percent of all dutch citizens use a bicycle daily – the design is characterized by simplicity and functionality, helping to generate a super quick response on city streets.

‘bough bikes’ are constructed from oak wood sourced from environmentally friendly managed forests in france. they also feature stainless steel hardware components and extra durable schwalbe tires. in order to ensure a high level of safety is maintained, a 2-speed SRAM automatic shifter, a coaster break and a manual front break have been included. made to be extremely durable, they have passed the TÜV rheinland endurance test. the unique dutch design has recently arrived in new york city, featuring two models: an open and solid frame.
