‘bottle chair’

czech design student jiri richter has sent us images of his ‘bottle chair’. the project is a study in recycling materials and using them in new applications. richter has taken empty 2L bottles of soda pop and arranged and bound them in a way, so that they form a type of concave seating unit. the result is a lightweight, portable seating option utilizes segmented portions of pool noodles to create the curve and provides a cushion between the chair and the ground.
