studio banana things are back on kickstarter with their latest product, the ‘kangaroo light’ – a portable, built in battery powered soft luminaire. the design comfortably adjusts to sit at the bottom of one’s bag, providing an ambient glow when trying to  locate things — saving time and avoiding frustration. its flexible shape and carefully selected materials allow it to fold and fit the geometrically composed item in- or outside your bag, in a variety of applications like reading and lighting up small spaces. 24 built-in LEDs emit a soft radiance emanating from one side. a lithium-ion battery offers more than 2 hours of non-stop power, however ‘kangaroo light’ is also rechargeable via USB port. an incorporated accelerometer enables various types of interactions and illumination modes including turn on, turn off, random flicker, intensity change and pulse, turning it into a playful and lively companion for a slue of illumination possibilities.
