to honor the classic E27 lightbulb, karakt has created ‘yo!’, a lamp that leaves the bulb exposed so that its sexy pear shape and curved edison screw can be admired. the fun element is added by the covering caps that can be placed on the bulb to spread the light and reduce the glare. two thin (3mm) long legs that appear to come directly from the lighting source go directly down into the noble transparent connection cable and then are inserted into the two massive steel shoes that keep the lamp standing up.

‘yo!’ lamp is available in 3 sizes: 50cm 65cm and 150cm

the lamp holder fits any standard light bulb with an E27 base that uses up to 10 watts. LED’s are also supported and encouraged due to karakt’s environmentally friendly opinion: there is in our view no need to use power-consuming traditional light bulbs or toxic energy-saving lamps.’ ‘yo!’ can be placed on a shelf or screwed directly into the wall like a torch, thanks to a thread for mounting found on the bottom of the steel feet. with this lamp karakt puts the classic light bulb back in focus.
