patricia urquiola defines her ‘kettal roll’ chair with two bolster cushions of varying sizes, held together by colorful straps to form its backrest. supported by a graphic aluminium structure, the belts are connected to the main framework of the low-sitting design via two pins that can be removed, making the cushions to store during the off-season. conceived for spanish company kettal, urquiola has upholstered the soft elements of her scheme with semi-transparent micro fabric, making it ideal for outdoor use.
