'the leftover stool' by austrian designer klemens schillinger is conceived as simple furniture pieces using a
bucket as the mold for the seating surface. wooden offcuts are then clamped into the void, where concrete
is poured in, leaving the stools dry and ready for use within a few hours.

  • I get that the material is saved from becoming waste, but the result is way too unfinished looking, an inscription or seal in the concrete could give it a nice aesthetic touch.
