the whimsical interior of ‘cafe wedel’ by polish design studio lesinska concept is presented as a venture into a chocolate wonderland. completed for the famous polish confectionery company, ‘e. wedel’, the fit-out immerses one within a willy wonka-type atmosphere. the different seating spaces are defined by bold pieces of furniture and are set against delicate gold finishings and lamps. glittering surfaces and pastel colors further enhance these juxtapositions, with traditional materials such as wood, stone carrara and brass used for their durability and timelessness.

upon entering, a marble bench top frames a selection of dark chocolate cakes, with hanging hats lined above. floating comfortably next to one another, retro light fittings are suspended next to a brown ceiling that appears to have fountains of chocolate dripping from it. guests to ‘cafe wendel’ will no doubt feel as though they have won the golden ticket, while enjoying the delectable treats on offer.
