fashion operates as a means of self-expression. as we sift through the landscapes of our closets, searching for the right combination of materials, patterns, and textures, we’re actually deciding what versions of ourselves we’d like to present to the world. building off of this phenomenon, little factory has created the ‘paper scarf‘, an accessory that resembles a long sheet of notepaper with embroidered lines.

the metaphor is taken to its fullest extent with the addition of another functional characteristic besides its ability to provide warmth. the fabric consists of tyvek from dupont, a material which is widely used as protective apparel for industrial workers and medical packaging. this element allows users to write or draw on the body of the wrap just like a regular piece of paper. its properties also include elasticity, extreme durability, breathability, and water-resistance, providing a lightweight scarf that becomes softer as you wear it.
