luca nichetto’s adaptable furnishing system ‘lofoten’ for casamania 

‘lofoten’ is a furnishing system designed by luca nichetto for casamania, that includes upholstered seating and backrests, tables and furnishing accessories. the project is influenced by the norwegian archipelago after which it’s named, whereby individual elements join together to create a unified visual language.

‘lofoten’ is a furnishing system that consists of individual elements

the collection, which was shown during salone del mobile 2016, consists of two large soft backrests that contain a quilted pattern in a primary yellow and deep red. the smaller mauve coloured backrests are placed at the side of the sofa component, create a warm and enclosed lounge area. the pieces can be assembled to fit multiple spaces and situations, allowing one to establish an environment suited to their personal needs. small wooden tables contain circular tops that can be placed over the sofa’s seat, bringing the two objects together. the collection embodies a fun and playful spirit through the use of single elements that work in union to create endless layout possibilities.
