‘momo’ by luciana gonzalez franco

argentinean designer luciana gonzalez franco has developed ‘momo’, a stool that is made from what would be discarded materials. brightly colored cable reels and elastic thread disguise the inner structure which is a large cardboard spool.  the vibrancy of the materials are meant to reflect the cultural festivities of latin america. each hand-made furniture piece is available in two color combinations.

franco was the second prize winner in the designboom competition ‘living simplicity’ in furniture design hosted in collaboration with italian furniture manufacturer premio vico magistretti.
