the belvederes of portuguese cities offer breathtaking views, providing some of the most popular points for tourists. the locations offer of a higher perspective, where some details catch the attention of observers. for instance, roofs in the historic districts, as a result of a complex urbanism, are a feature of the country’s architecture. they come in many forms, but all, in general, are made composed by inclined planes of ceramic modules. for the ‘roof tiles’ project, luis nascimento has taken the shape of the undulating barrel style and replicated it towards the design of a lamp.
