tom dixon brings the fragrances of london to paris on the occasion of maison et objet — who has acknowledged the british creative as its 2014 designer of the year — with ‘the factory’. the on-site installation includes a live production floor, with packaging unit and pop-up shop, where visitors can engage with the manufacturing of a limited run of fragrant accessories which are being sold exclusively at maison et objet.

the four products assembled and presented: ‘MUD’ diffuser, ‘MUD’ obelisk diffuser, ‘MUD’ candle and ‘MUD’ mini diffuser, are informed by dixon’s infatuation with british manufacturing, and are made from bricks and other materials sourced from london.

the idea is not only to invade paris with our london scent; ‘the factory’ also demonstrates the speed at which we can now create new ideas and sell in a modern age.’ – tom dixon
