world renowned fashion and portrait photographer mario testino introduces a new series of studio visits on his recently launched website miramira.tv. the volume is designed to take viewers into the private spaces of the creative minds that run the worlds of fashion, art and contemporary culture. kick starting the videos, alexandre de betak, creative director and producer of bureau betak, offers an insight into his work and life.

in a career spanning three decades, alexandre de betak has blurred the boundaries between design, fashion and art as he has redefined the idea of runway shows. the french designer is most well-known for his fashion shows, events and furniture creations. as part of these projects, alexandre has collaborated with the likes of isabel marant, jacquemus, and most notably dior with the mirror-clad venue in the louvre courtyard, the sci-fi stage at their tokyo 2015 presentation, the orchid wall in the rodin musee, and the transformation of the museum’s gardens in 2014.

in the first video of the intimate series, alexandre invited mario testino to document parts of his flat and studio. mario has been able to document some unique looks at his home and office, exploring areas never seen before by the public. as a result, viewers gain an intriguing insight into his creative mind and how he channels his ingenuity for his work.
