the ‘fortress table’ by swedish designer markus johansson consists of solid steel that is bent into an organic shape. the design is reminiscent of industrial craftsmanship and features a rotating piece of angular metal strips. constructed entirely out of one sheet plate, the table comes in two different sizes and can be produced with an anodized surface, and also lacquered in different colors. markus johansson will show five new product concepts at the salone satellite 2014 during milan design week, one of which will be ‘the fortress table’.
