the prolificacy of denim has grown in a constant upward trend since its introduction over 150 years ago. it’s been transformed into jeans, jackets, purses, shoes, and now, sunglasses. cornwall, england studio mosevic introduces their ‘solid denim’ collection of sunglasses after over four years of continuous development and prototyping. drawing influence from the techniques and process of modern composite engineering, the studio perfected a method of infusing layers of denim using a carefully-chosen resin

once constructed the frames are extremely strong, possessing all the right qualities to compose a range of unique, yet recognizable glasses. denim texture is preserved on the exterior surfaces, allowing a familiar touch and aesthetic. the inside, however, has been polished to a super smooth finish that’s comfortable and easy to clean. the glasses range from three layers at the thinnest to up to ten layers at the thickest. for more information or to support the project, you can find ‘solid denim’ on kickstarter here.
