instead of emulating the scents of plants as they appear in nature, l’artisan parfumeur has unveiled ‘natura fabularis’ – a collection of six different fragrances, which each invent a unique fantasy. perfumer daphné bugey was invited to create six olfactory dreams, which would inject an unexpected twist to the heart of each formula.

christened with latin botanical names, every fragrance in the collection has a name followed by a digit which corresponds to the amount of trials that were required before settling on the final fragrance. low in numbers, varying only between 2 and 60, it is indicative of the bond of trust between the perfume house, l’artisan parfumeur, and the nose, daphné bugey.

in a departure from the well-known heptagonal bottles of l’artisan parfumeur, the natura fabularis collection explores new packaging. this new version comes in darker bottles. faux black glass is tinted with shades of purple, brown, forest green and indigo blue. each bottle bears a white label carrying the name of one of six formulas. at the neck of the bottle, a bee in gold metal, seems ready to take flight. it not only adds a finishing touch but is symbolic of the abundance of nature found in each bottle.
